    BSOD while doing nothing: Hal.dll

    Hi
I hope you guys can help me with this problem, because it is starting to drive me crazy. For about about 3 months ago my GTX 670 died, and I replaced it with a GTX 1070. After the installation of the GTX 1070 my pc became slow in non-demanding like League of legends, and in general use as well. But I thought I was just hit by a bottleneck...until now. My pc is is now freezing randomly, sometimes with a bluescreen and sometimes not. The bluescreen does not happen while running intensive application, but when I do standard tasks like browsing chrome for instance.
    What I have tried:
    Running the memtest86(no errors)
    Reinstalled windows(about 3 weeks ago)
Running prime95 for about 2 hours
Temps looks fine(gpu 70 degrees under load and CPU 60 degrees)

Thanks for any help you are able to provide

    :)

hal.dll+35f1f bsod error in Windows 10

    OT- hal.dll+35f1f bsod

    Hello,

There was a bsod just now, which is the first time I've experienced it - and should I be worrying about it?

This is what I got from BlueScreenView:

    071816-24656-01.dmp

    18/7/2016 8:23:23 PM

    0x00000124

    00000000`00000000

    ffffe000`2db12028

    00000000`b2000000

    00000000`00100402

    hal.dll

    hal.dll+35f1f

    x64

    ntoskrnl.exe+142940

    C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\071816-24656-01.dmp

    What caused this? Thanks!

  3. Windows 10 BSOD

HP Envy h8-1450. Updated to Build 10586. Now getting BSOD, but only on my primary admin account.

BlueScreen view seems to implicate hal.dll and/or ntoskrnl.exe

Tried rolling back with no luck. Also, nothing found with SFC scan.

    Thanks in advace,

The error is reported on the L2 Cache of the CPU but while it could be that the CPU is faulty it is important to check other areas as well.

Thank you for the fast replies *Smile

I have now updated the system specs in my profile, and sorry for not including them in the first place( I thought they were included as part of the BSOD tool).

After I posted this I received another BSOD but this time with another error code: "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"(new minidump attached to this post).

In the meantime I will try to disconnect my WLAN card from my PC and see if that helps. I read online that it could cause BSOD on windows 10.
