Windows 10: can't open iexplorer under windows 10

Discus and support can't open iexplorer under windows 10 in Browsers and Email to solve the problem; up until last night, I've been using iexplorer instead of the new Edge browser because the latter does not have the options for ignoring font size...     can't open iexplorer under windows 10


    up until last night, I've been using iexplorer instead of the new Edge browser because the latter does not have
    the options for ignoring font size and fonts that were in the IE settings- my eyes are old and can't read the small fonts
    and font-sizes that seem typical in many web-sites.
    But this morning, IExplorer no longer works: I get the following error-
    This application was unable to start correctly 0x000018.
    Click Ok to close.
    My first thought was to re-install IExplorer, but I get a message when I tried that IExplorer cannot be installed
    on Windows 10.

    Hi,

    It is not iexplorer, it is iexplore.

    If you will type iexplore in run box then it will open Internet Explorer. After opening Internet Explorer follow the further steps and see if it helps you to fix the issue.

    IE11 won't load on W10

    And if you right-click> Open or double-click that file does it open, even briefly?

    As a test, restart the computer and see if Internet Explorer will open afterwards.

    In that case, you can uncheck Internet Explorer 11 in Windows Features, and click on OK.

    Afterwards, restart the computer if prompted.

    Next, check Internet Explorer 11 in Windows Features, and click on OK.

    This will essentially be the same as uninstalling and reinstalling IE11.

    I saw "This application was unable to start correctly 0x000018." when I tried to run CMD. After reading this thread, I tried to open IE 11. I received the same error message. I then did as Brink instructed for the IE 11 problem. I turned off IE 11 in Windows Features and restarted. When I was logged in again, I turned on IE 11, and restarted. When I logged in again, I ran IE 11. It worked! I ran CMD and that works too!
