  1. Change Administrator Password - Made Mistake in Computer Setup

Bought a new HP Desktop computer and made a mistake when setting up my Microsoft account with my email. Can't seem to get in to edit the "administrator's" password. How can I correct?

I made the mistake of making them the administrator, so every time I try to make any changes to the user account, it asks for the password.

  3. Change User names and passwords in Windows 10

When I was setting up our new Windows 10 computer, I made some mistakes which I cannot figure out how to correct. This is my wife's computer and she wants to use a Standard account while I use an Administrator account. I've accomplished that, but in the
process messed up a couple of things.

    1. My wife's logon uses her first and last names. She prefers that it only display her first name, but I have not found a way to change it.

    2. Before I knew it, the password on my Administrator account was set as the same password I use to log in to this site. I would very much like to change the Administrator logon password. On Windows 7 this was as easy as changing the picture, but I am not
offered that option. What am I not seeing? How can I do it?

On a related subject, Windows setup informed me that a four-digit PIN is more secure than a long alpha-numeric password. It seems counter-intuitive to say the least. Have I understood correctly? How is that the case?

  4. Change Administrator Password - Made Mistake in Computer Setup

I am frustrated and can't even get my question right. When setting up my new HP Desktop Computer, I was prompted to establish a Microsoft account. I used an incorrect email address in doing so. How can i change my "administrator's" email address?

Click the Windows logo, click settings, click accounts.
Is there a way to change it in there? I never set up my PC with my Microsoft account, just a user name.
