Windows 10: Microsoft Store Error 0x80131500

I recently upgraded a laptop to Windows 10, all files and applications remained in place.

The Microsoft Store will not work however, it simply displays an error message saying "Try that again. Page could not be loaded. Please try again later." Code 0x80131500


Windows is up to date as of today 10/02/2020


I have tried all the solutions in this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...80131500/41d2d363-83ee-4b5d-ba43-615ca63bb1bf including:

wsreset.exe
Resetting the store in Settings > Apps > MS Store > Advanced Settings

Using Google DNS 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
Unloading and reloading the Store via PowerShell

Disabling TLS 1.0 and 1.1, disabling SSL3.0

Running Ccleaner and fixing all registry errors.


Running v1909 Build 18363.628

I had tried all except re registering MSoft Store , but that unfortunately did not work .

Very intermittently use SurfEasy VPN, but last time used pre dated this build & problem by some time.

Have built pc systems /rebuilt windows op system literally100's times over 25 years for myself and others, and troubleshooted most known problems but this looks like a reinstall.
Not listed in Microsoft web notice as ongoing issue involving current build.

Only had Store problem once before since it was introduced years ago, and that was easily resolved !

Hi, you could of course try
Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter in Windows 10
and then
Re-register Microsoft Store app in Windows 10

You say you've tried this:

Are you using a VPN?

You could try
Flush DNS Resolver Cache in Windows 10

This suggests the problem (amongst other things) could be related to services. Have you modified or disabled any? Worth checking.

(Tweaking.com's free repair tool has a useful option to reset services to default).

You can try to power cycle your phone by turning it off for about 30 seconds, and turning it back on.
