Windows 10: Microsoft store is giving me issues updating Error code 0x800706D9

So I've been having this problem for a few months now, and I'm done. I need help fixing it. I've checked out a lot of forums and videos and contacting Microsoft directly, but I've had no luck so far. I'm open to any and all suggestions/tips.

Try a clean startup:

Launch System Configuratiion (msconfig)

on the Services tab:

Hide all Microsoft servicesPress the [Disable all] button

on the Startup tab: Press Open Task Manager
Disable all items listed
Close Task Manager
Press [Ok] on the System Configuration window

Restart your machine
Try a manual Windows Update from Settings -> Update and Recovery (not Control Panel)

The issue might be HW related.

A few other suggested fixes were to run wsreset

This might have more affect (works on Win10, not just Win8.x)
Store - Re-register in Windows 8 and 8.1

Try all three and test an update.

 

I keep getting error code 0x800706D9

when I try to update apps on the windows store I get this error code 0x800706D9.

the app starts updating then fails in like 2secs

I had tried all except re registering MSoft Store , but that unfortunately did not work .

Very intermittently use SurfEasy VPN, but last time used pre dated this build & problem by some time.

Have built pc systems /rebuilt windows op system literally100's times over 25 years for myself and others, and troubleshooted most known problems but this looks like a reinstall.
Not listed in Microsoft web notice as ongoing issue involving current build.

Only had Store problem once before since it was introduced years ago, and that was easily resolved !
