Windows 10: PC Freeze while playing Rocket League/Overwatch

Can you revert back to Windows 10586?

 

Just reverted back to my previous Windows installation, and then updated to 10586.

Edit: Okay updating to 10586 didn't work somehow :S

 

So far I see you're running on the Anniversary update, 14393.

I'm on 10240, and through Windows Update it doesn't provide me anything. How do I update to 10586 now? Because using the Media Creation tool or Update Tool it will update me to the Anniversary Update again right?

If after installing you appear to have the Anniversary update installed, use the ISO again but temporary disable internet connection.

Please check if there are updates available, the most recent 1511 version is 10586.545

But yeah, not really noticing any difference, still getting freezes. Don't you think it might be some kind of hardware issue somewhere? PSU or GPU related maybe?

 

I was actually thinking that for some time, driver verifier was meant to proof if the suspicious are true. If driver verifier is causing a BSOD but unable to detect any driver it basically means 'unknown hardware is the cause'.

To start, what are the 3.3v, 5v and 12v values in the BIOS?

With what programs did you test?
How long with each program? 'At least 20 min' isn't really conclusive with many programs.

I'm currently getting freezes with doing even the most basic things on my computer. Listening to Spotify while browsing has frozen my PC today 2 times already :S It's getting worse.

 

I mean those yes.

Oh yeah the testing. I've ran:
MemTest86 (1 hour)
HeavyLoad (45 minutes)
FurMark (40 minutes)
3DMark (Full Benchmark test, around 30 minutes)

None of those crashed me at those times, but I could usually force a PC Freeze within 10 minutes by just playing Overwatch/DOTA2/Rocket League/CS:GO. But now I even randomly freeze in Windows at the moment.

 

Pleaes follow below instructions, some tests you already ran but I do not know some things so please run them again.
Do NOTHING else while performing a test in Windows, if the system freezes while performing a test make a photo of the test and post this photo please so I know you've at least attempted it *Smile
Please be aware that I may ask you to run a test again if the system froze while performing a test.
There are some DOS tests, SeaTools for the HDD & MemTest86+, if a freeze happens while these tests are running we have possible causes
- If a freeze with a DOS test occured and you didn't ran the other tests, we cannot rule out the other parts due to the fact that multiple parts could cause trouble.








Diagnostics Troubleshooting

Run HDTune to

• scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
• check the health,
• benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following

• the error scan,
• the health,
• the benchmark incl. following
  • transfer rate,
  • access time,
  • burst rate,
  • cpu usage.

GPU TEST


Run FurMark - GPU Stress Test - Windows 10 Forums



Note Run Furmark for around 30 minutes.


Warning Your GPU temperatures will rise quickly while Furmark is running. Keep a keen eye on them and abort the test if overheating occurs.
Make a photo of the result and post it.

In Furmark you can find a tool called 'GPU-Z' (if you want to install GPU-Z is up to you), when GPU-Z is open click on the 'Sensors' tab, on this tab you can monitor

• the frequency of the GPU,
• the GPU memory clock,
• the temperature,
• the power,
• the load on the GPU,
• Etc.

I would like you to make a screenshot of GPU-Z after you have either cancelled Furmark for any reason or Furmark is finished, post this screenshot in your next reply with the result of Furmark.

 

Just ran Prime95 for an hour, and Furmark for 30 minutes.
