  1. Random crashing of computer with BSOD

Attachment 89297 I hope this is the correct file. Computer crashes randomly with the BSOD and at one point crashed in the middle of booting. Also got error code 0xc0000221 when telling me of missing or corrupt files. Computer finally boot and no problem at the moment but I'm confidently expecting my next crash.

    :)

    Constant Crashing / BSOD

Hey. I've been having issues with my computer crashing or bluescreening. The time inbetween the crashes are random, and the messages in the BSOD's are seemingly random. If you need anything to help ID the problem, please let me know.

    Thanks for your time

  3. Random BSOD Error During Web Browsing?

    Hi Microsoft,

I've had random (one time) experience of a random BSOD with no error involved when I was working on some animation on my computer. I've posted this to share with everyone to see if anyone has had this past experience before and If it is going around or not.
Back to the story, when it had finished collecting data on the crash, it restarted and immediately started updating (which didn't take long) and went back to the desktop with nothing wrong?!

    BSOD Message:

Random crashing of computer with BSOD :(

Your Computer has ran into a problem

(No Error Code Which is weird)

    Collecting Crash Data (1%)

Reminder, I've only posted this if anyone knows why it crashed or had this in the past Random crashing of computer with BSOD :p Everything is okay now and nothing has happened since.

Also, I don't have a screenshot (I'm not even sure if you can do one in BSOD) so don't ask Random crashing of computer with BSOD :p

  5. Hello, thank you for your reply. I updated the video driver, downloaded and ran Kaspersky Rescue Disk with no infections and ran the DISM with no corruptions. Still am getting BSOD. I have included the latest crash info. Thanks again! Attachment 89651

    Let us know the results.

  7. Hello and thanks again for taking the time to help. The noght before i posted this tread, I ran MemTest86+ for 17 passes with no errors. I didn't save the results at that point. I also ran FurMark and Prime95 after you gave me those instruction. Both with, as far as I can see, positive results. I could be wrong. When I booted my computer to run MemTest86+ all I got was a black screen with a blinking cursor at the top left side of the screen. (sigh) Used my wife's computer to download a Windows 10 repair disk. I expected to have to reinstall the OS but tried a restore point first. Restored to before the latest Windows 10 update. Could that be the problem? Attachment 90189Attachment 90190Attachment 90191If you need anything else let me know. I'll get you the MemTest86+ results if you need it. Let me know and I'll run it again. Thank You!

Well, Furmark and Prime65 passed successfully.

If the RAM is free from errors, then the system restore may cause some good there. But if not, then we may need to think about the Memtest86+ again.

So let us know about any further BSOD.

  9. Thank you. I'll try to remember to run the MemTest86+ again tonight and let you know. If it passes and I have no real issues with any BSOD i'll mark as solved. Thanks again. Oh, by the way, Windows 10 just installed the update which I just got rid of with my restore point. Now I'll see if I still have problems. Maybe something got corrupted and the restore point worked? I'll hope for the best.

Unfortunately there is no new crash dump.

    Attachment 90323

Follow it: BSOD Minidump - Configure to Create in Windows 10
Go to Option Two, "Small Memory Dump". Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Now wait for another BSOD. When it occurred, seh the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. See if the crash dump is recorded or not (hopefully it will be recorded).Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

Dont run any disc cleanup tool before you upload another zip.

And, please consider the Memtest86+ once again.

  12. Hello, took me some time to respond, my computer had the black screen and blinking cursor again. I followed your instructions above but I find no reference to C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump anywhere. In the meantime I'll give you my latest crash info the way we've done it before and I'll try your instructions again. Also I took a picture of the screen with the MemTest86+ (computer crashed and couldn't get a screenshot). In any case, it passed with 10 passesAttachment 90738Attachment 90737

Yes, the RAM test is nicely passed. Very good news.

This time I noticed some lines in the crash dump that sounds bad.
IMHO in this situation it would be better to start afresh considering a clean install.

  14. I hope you get this. Thanks again for all your help. Looks like I'll take your advice and reinstall. Not looking forward to the work, LOL! I marked as solved to close out the thread. I'll revisit if needed after the reinstall. Thank you again, God Bless.
