  1. Recovery error

    Hi everyone!

So, last night I was watching a movie on my Windows 10 64bit PC, I fell asleep, woke up at 5AM this morning and I saw my monitor screen with a message that there was an error with the system. The system is installed on SSD disk.

I restarted and now every time I get this message:

    Recovery error [IMG]

I can't load my system. I don't have a USB media tool or anything like that. Is there any solution or do I need to format my disk?

    :)

  2. Recovery Error

I used my computer for several months, until now (December 05, 2016). when i turn on my computer, the booting time take so long,
longer than usual until this popup on my screen

The Boot Configurtion Data file is missing some required information:

    File: \BCD

    Error Code: 0xc000000d

You'll need to use the recovery tool on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC Manufacturer

This pc was built about couple months ago, and it use windows copy from microsoft website. How can i fix this, and how i make the recovery tool???

    THANKS!!!!

  3. Recovery Error

    Hi Paundra,

Do you have a copy of Windows 10 on usb pendrive or disk?

If not, you can download a copy from Microsoft and create a bootable pendrive or disk using the media creation tool:

    Download Windows 10

Download tool on another computer and when asked checkmark to install on another PC. Choose the language and windows edition of the PC which doesn't start.

If you do have a bootable copy of Windows 10, boot from that and go into recovery mode to fix startup. Here is a link which explains in detail the different ways to use recovery.

Let me know if you need any help,

    Recovery error

You will need a Win 10 installation disk- freely downloadable. Make sure you get the right one.
Download Windows 10 ISO File Windows 10 Installation Upgrade Tutorials

Create a bootable medium (burn to DVD or use a flash or USB drive):

Solutions and approaches to this are posted on the internet.. and there are threads on this error in this forum.
Here's someone who muddled through it - I expect there are better answers, but will post this for starters.
    Solved Recovery startup error 0xc000000f

(See my signature for hints.. disk imaging is so useful)

(Note: the reference to F8 is interesting- this is not relevant to Win 10 by default)

If you were lucky, Macrium Fixboot may help.. try Kyhi's boot disk (available from the top of the Software and Apps section here. Boot your PC from that, run Macrium, and try the Fix Boot tool.

In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Please include PSU, cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wireless or wired (mouse, keyboard, printer, xbox, etc.)

The methods to fix the problem require flash drives that you can format.
As dalchina posted you may be able to repair using a bootable windows 10 iso or using Kyhi's boot method.

    1) What is the age of the computer?
    a) are all of the components the same age or had you replaced any parts?
    2) What is the history of the drive?
    a) were there any recent chkdsk problems or known drive problems?
    b) had you run any tests on the drive such as SMART, short or long generic?
    3) Are your files backed up?
    4) Had you made a backup image?
    5) Let us know when you have created a bootable windows 10 iso and whether you can boot to the image to select language, time, currency, and keyboard.

    Great.

There was a youtube video that had the same problem and fix but the fix was unstable.

Please post a zip into the thread:
BSOD - Posting Instructions - Windows 10 Forums

    Please perform the following steps:

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    5) chkdsk /x /f /r
(This may take many hours so plan to run overnight)
    6) Post the chkdsk /x /f /r results into the thread using the information in this link:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials
    7) backup all files
    8) make a backup image using Macrium
    9) create a brand new restore point
    10) Run HDTune:
    http://www.hdtune.com/to check the health,
scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
    run a benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
The error scan testing can be done overnight so that you have results in the AM.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following
    the health,
    the error scan,
    the benchmark incl. following
    transfer rate,
    access time,
    burst rate,
    cpu usage.
