Windows 10: Cannot install any apps from windows store

Already tried the UAC
Store is in the list so I didn't restore defaults Figured it might muck up too many other things?
Network troubleshooter didn't come up with anything!

 

Ok, here are some other things to try.
Try the Store AFTER all of the below have been completed.

• Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter - Run in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
  
  
• Store Cache - Clear and Reset in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
  You already ran wsReset (Part One in the tut)
  Try part two for 3rd party Apps
  
  
• Store - Re-register in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

 

Ok Tried all that, Thought my PC had crashed when I restarted just had a black screen for ages! finally came on ok but the store still doesn't work.
I can't believe that microsoft has not sorted this out. it's ridiculous

I stumbled upon the same, after reinstall OS all became good.

 

I can't think of anything else.

lx07 already suggested a Repair install, that's all I can think of

Read through the tutorial and ask any questions
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Windows 10 Forums

I suggest
Step 4 : To do a repair install of Windows 10 with an ISO file
-- OR --
Step 5 : To do a repair install of Windows 10 with USB installation media

Another member might suggest something else - you can read while you wait *Wink

I had similar problems and for a while, I turned firewall off when trying to install APPs from store. Somehow it got fixed itself after an update.

 

After months of every other "solution" out there, of course it would be the obvious. I turned off firewall completely and at least I can install and update. But once firewall is turned on again, it's back to "Something happened on our end." So no update that I could download fixed this issue without this fix for this issue.

And I can't seem to find the rule in firewall that is exactly blocking the install/download call. Other updates with the MS Store and the individuals apps will refresh like the storefront inventories etc. But not the actual apps or their updates themselves. Because if this is the ultimate fix to this nonsense, finding out exactly what the impeding firewall rule is will save others a lot of aggravation. Turning off a firewall completely is not a secure workaround.

 

The store app is being updated which seems to cure it assuming you can download it
