Windows 10: Lock Screen Question

Hello,

I've updated my computer to the last build of Windows 10 (Version 1607, build 14393.10) but now I have a question.

In the 1511 version I disabled the scroll-protecter and can I enter direct my password, somehow I can't remove it anymore. Also was I using a different background, is there a way to put it back?

It's literally the default lock screen image: if the user has customized their lock screen image already, it's no longer relevant. See also:

Note that you're asking questions about the lock screen, which is discrete from the login screen that our OP had questions about here. You would probably want to spin up your own thread around your lock screen issue to help reduce confusion.

 

Hi, if you mean 'can I disable the lock screen' the official answer is 'no' however if you get the free tweak tool from Winaero, that's been updated to do that. (The lock screen is supposed now to respond to Hey Cortana).

In addition to the typical review, more has been moved to Settings duplicating the control panel, a few bugs have been fixed (there's a short thread on this here).

You will probably find the placement of text in explorer for medium and large icons is now left justified (I've posted a workaround for this).

Well I disabled it, but chaning the background doesn't work yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone has a neat utility to do this. Some are mentioned there, but I've not read it properly.

That program doesn't work yet.

 

So find another... bear in mind things that used to work may not work post anniversary update.

I'm looking for that register tweak, but I can't find it in my register. I've added it before, any advice?

If you were wanting to disable the lock screen, then you could use OPTION THREE below to do so, but it still won't affect the lock screen at startup.
