Windows 10: Start or Stop Receiving Insider Preview Builds in Windows 10

I do , and I tried to use it, however I got this:




What I'll do is just change the setting to Slow from Fast Insider
(best work around ) .. as I don't want to reinstall apps etc .
( i think I've installed 3 to 4 Builds over the last few months ,
all great build -- bar the last one
where I couldn't run the game star citizen )

In that case, it's not for the same build as you currently have installed since you won't be able to keep anything.

 

PCs running the Windows 10 Education edition can now also opt-in to receive Insider Preview builds.

I was an insider on my previous MB. Now with a new MB I have an activated W10 RTM version running.
Goal is to have RTM on one drive and Insider ver on another drive like previous setup.
So far I have not received any insider updates or do I have to d/l an insider iso and use my RTM key?
Its been a year+ since I did this and the method has slipped thru the cracks...

Double check to see if you are set to be in the fast ring. Sometimes is may take a day afterwards though.

Yes I am in the fast ring since yesterday, moved it to slow for a while about an hour ago and now back to fast. Tx

 

I am posting without too many hopes but there it goes. I wanted to check the insider program, but just before registering I changed mind, so I never accepted the terms and conditions, but now, Windows thinks I am part of the program, and displays my Microsoft account accordingly (see attached pic). Any chance I can remove it from there ? *Smile Much appreciated.

Should I be concerned regarding my data being sent (or just getting builds) to Microsoft for this program, even if I did not accept the terms?

As long as you have not gone through all the steps to start getting Insider preview builds and still see the "Get started" button, you're installation will not be in the Insider program.

I guess I got a bit scared when I read the terms of the program. Specially the part where Microsoft says that will collect personal data and share it with third parties.
