How to Add 'Copy Contents to Clipboard' to Context Menu in Windows 10

The Copy Contents to Clipboard context menu item will allow users to copy the contents of a single .bat, .cmd, .css, .js, .log, .reg, .rtf, .txt, or .vbs file to the clipboard to make it easy to paste the contents where you like.

Office Clipboard: Work Content not supported (WIP)

    Hi Rick,

The problem only occurs using the Office Clipboard (that is capable of remembering more copy actions), not the Windows Clipboard. And i have followed the WIP steps. And the issue is that i cannot find how to allow the Office Clipboard to allow Work content.
As the default Windows clipboard does work.

    Regards,

    Mike

  3. Does hibernate save windows clipboard copy file ?

The clipboard is NOT a file. It holds its data in memory.

The clipboard data does survive a hibernation.

You could easily answer the question yourself like so:

    1. Press PrtSc
    2. Hibernate
    3. Return from hibernation
    4. Open Word
    5. Press Ctrl+V to paste the clipboard's contents.

Add Copy Contents to Clipboard to Context Menu in Windows 10

I can't copy paste in mail apps of windows 10

    Hi Ritschard,

Please answer the questions mentioned below in order to assist you in a better way.

    • Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
    • Does the issue happen only with mail app?

Whenever you try to copy something, it will be stored to Clipboard. The
    clipboard
is a piece of software used for short-term data storage. It also helps for data transfer between documents or applications, via
copy and paste operations. At the time of pasting the content, if you don't see a paste option on context menu of right-click, then it means that the content hasn't been copied properly.

After selecting the desired content, use CTRL+C(copy) and CTRL+V (paste).

Please revert if you face issues while pasting.

    Thank you.

  5. Custom context menu entries

So, just throwing this out there, in case somone knows.

I have added a custom context menu entry for the program rightload, since by default the menu is broken in vistax64.

It works pefect with single files, but when I select mutiple files and try to open, I get mutiple instances of the program (which makes sense), here is my entry:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Rightload\Rightload.exe --server=1 --autostart %1

So the %1 passes the filename to the program, and when I select multiple files it is just opening multiple instances of rightload each with a different file.

What I'd like to do is be able to pass a list of the files selected to the program. Since I know it is capable of uploading multiple files from the context menu, all in one instance.

So, is there something I can pass besides %1 that will do this? I have looked around and can't seem to find an answer anywhere... *Frown Add Copy Contents to Clipboard to Context Menu in Windows 10 :(

Windows 10 Copy & Paste--Is there a fix or patch to restore this capability?

    Hi Deborah,

Does the copy paste function work with other applications?

Whenever you try to copy something, it will be stored to Clipboard. The
    clipboard
is a piece of software used for short-term data storage. It also helps for data transfer between documents or applications, via
copy and paste operations. At the time of pasting the content, if you don't see a paste option on context menu of right-click, then it means that the content hasn't been copied properly.

I suggest you to send a feedback to Microsoft regarding this feature. Type Feedback on Search bar and go to
    Feedback app.

    Thank you.
