New hard drive partition with the name "SYSTEM (Z"

Just got the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3194496) so I'm now the proud owner of OS Build 14393.222.

No more Z Drive nonsense!

If you're currently running Win10 1607, Build 14393.222, one assumes that KB3194496 is now listed in
Installed Updates (not just Update History).

REPOSTING => Did you run the Win10 Upgrade Assistant before you upgraded to Win10 using "Express Settings" on 10 Aug-15?

Thanks for the heads up Brink. Thought this would probably happen as the mobile build was starting to jump too far ahead of the PC one.

Nothing coming down yet here though. Likely as not it'll be tomorrow in the UK, or 10 seconds after I've gone to bed tonight *Smile

 

There must be something in this CU that they want feedback about - since 14393 is the 1607 AU, and there's a couple of weeks until the next "Patch Tuesday", when all 14393 installations will be getting another CU, I guess.

 

I agree, there will probably be a couple of minor tweaks before it is released to the masses.

Nothing for me since I'm on a different build of the Insider Preview already.

A Search for that KB3194496 seems to go everywhere except to a Microsoft site.

You must be on the Release Preview ring in order to receive it. btw, it is apparently chock full of stuff. It took more than an hour where my other cumulative updates only took 15 minutes to a half hour.

Hi all,

I've had two failed attempts on updating to 222. I get to about 94% and then it fails, reversing the update changes.

I'm running 14393.187.

Any suggestions out there on possible methods to get past this?
