  2. Read-only files can be deleted without warning when logged in as admin. How do I change this?

I want to enable a warning if I go to delete a read-only file if that's possible. Currently, I'm logged in as admin and can delete read-only files at will. Which is extremely dangerous.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I was onto a customer services rep in chat and they told me to do this (which is only hiding the security tab and not a solution)

unable to Save office Files in Windows 10

This fix didn't work for me. In Windows 10 there is no "Owner" tab in Properties-Security. See instruction b) below.

Here are the steps to modify ownership and permissions of folders and files:

    a) Right-click the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.

    b) Click Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.

The only tabs I have in Properties-Security are:- Permissions, Share, Auditing & Effective Access.

How do I fix this problem?

Well thanks for the quick response though the suggestion you gave me is sort of what I want. I want to still have access to settings, except in the ribbon of file explorer.

Thanks again for the quick reply
