  1. Strange issue with Search Bar, Edge, and all Windows dialog and windows.

Hey all- So I have researched this issue, and I certainly do not have the issue that others have experienced that prevents typing within the Search Bar and Edge. My issue is strange... I can type in the search bar, but the cursor seems to shift upward into the result. When I am working in Edge, its as if I the arrow key or the TAB key is moving and selecting different fields. When I am in OS Windows like settings, the cursor kind of jumps around....but if I am in any other app, including Explorer, Chrome, Office stuff...the mouse and keyboard work just fine. It is NOT a keyboard or Mouse issue, as I use a KVM and the Keyboard and mouse work just great on my secondary machine. There is something causing the cursor to move to other fields...preventing me frome using the search bar, and truly doign anything in settings. I was able to perform DISM, SFC, and a clean install...and the issue still persists. To make things even more strange...my gamepad (XBOX 360 Controller via USB) stopped working within all games and is NOT recognized...yet WIndows still sees it, and it works fin within the Game controll panel...I have removed USB and Game pad drivers and re-installed those as well...along with my logitec drivers... this is a real big pain the backside... any ideas would be helpful. This issue started, out of the blue a few weeks ago with just the search bar...and has gradually gotten worse.

    :)

  3. How do I stop Windows 10/Edge saving all my typed search topics?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the response.

Here is how you can stop Microsoft Edge browser from showing you search suggestions in the address bar:

    • Press the hotkey Win+R to open the Run dialog. Type
      gpedit.msc
in the Run dialog and press Enter. This will open the Group Policy Editor.
    • In the Group Policy Editor, expand Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Microsoft Edge
    • Double-click on the Stop address bar from showing search suggestions setting in the right-side panel.
    • In the settings window, select Disabled and then click OK.
That’s it. The settings apply as soon as you click on the OK button. Now if you open the Microsoft Edge web browser and try typing something in the address bar, then you won’t see any search suggestions. You can obviously revert the setting by following
exactly the same steps and choosing Not Configured or Enabled in the last step and saving the settings.

Hope this information is helpful. Please post in case you have any further issues, I will be glad to help you further.

    Thank you.
