  2. deleting history of "save as" under "file name"

Open IE options and uncheck Inline auto-complete.

    (Do the reverse of what
    this page
    says.)

Changes are seen not only in Open/Save As dialogs, but also in Run, Address bar and elsewhere,.

  3. Clear run command history

    Additional locations to clear:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLsTime

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths

    And clear your IE history.
