How to Add Personalization to Control Panel in Windows 10


Information Personalization includes your account's System Icons.

Personalization has been removed from the Settings instead.

This tutorial will show you how to add Personalization back to the Control Panel for all users in Windows 10.

You must be signed in as an administrator to add or remove Personalization in the Control Panel.

CONTENTS:

• Option One: To Add or Remove Personalization in Control Panel
• Option Two: To Add or Remove Personalization (classic) in Control Panel

EXAMPLE: Personalization in Control Panel (icons view) and Control Panel (category view)

OPTION ONE [/i] To Add or Remove Personalization in Control Panel
1. Do step 2 (add) or step 3 (remove) below for what you would like to do.


2. To Add "Personalization" to Control Panel
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

3. To Remove "Personalization" from Control Panel
NOTE: This is the default setting.
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

4. Save the .reg file to your desktop.

5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

6. When prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

7. If the Control Panel is currently open, then close and reopen it to apply.

8. You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

Personalization screen in Control Panel

I downloaded a theme and have it in Downloaded folder. How do I load it to Personalization screen so I can use it?

Doesn't double clicking the .themepack file work?It would be auto-saved

I just tested this in build 17025 to see if anything may have changed, but it still works for me.

If you had Control Panel open when you added it, you'll need to close and reopen the CP to apply. If you did, then you might see if restarting the PC may.
