Windows 10: Redirecting location of libraries

Discus and support Redirecting location of libraries in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I installed my SS, put OS on it.     I want to move my libraries to another partition

    Moving Documents, Pictures, etc. is done via the Location tab in the Folder's Properties dialog. Not sure if Libraries automatically follow this redirection or if you would need to update via Manage Library in the Ribbon or the Library's Properties dialog.

    Hello Everyone,

    My new windows 10 pc has onedrive installed, and has redirected my pictures and documents library to the folder on onedrive. I wish to redirect the library location to a folder on another drive, but I get an "access denied" message every time I try to do
    so. Is there any fix for this?

    Redirecting location of libraries

    Hello CapFlam, *Smile

    Libraries don't actually store anything in them since they just link to the default save location and the added folders instead, so there's no need to move any of them.

    If it helps, you could change the default save location of a library.

    It worked. I did not at first created folders. So everything ended in the same root folder, it got messed up. I just restore the backup of last nite, and redid it with creating folders.*Smile
