Information Notifications are messages or alerts from apps and other senders that pop up as a notification banner.

Starting with Windows 10 build 16275, you can now turn on or off to show notifications on your head mounted display (aka: mixed reality headset) .

This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off showing notifications on your head mounted display for your account in Windows 10.


Note You will need to have Get notifications from apps and other senders turned on to be able to turn on Show notifications on my head mounted display below.

CONTENTS:

• Option One: Turn On or Off Showing Notifications on Head Mounted Display in Settings
• Option Two: Turn On or Off Showing Notifications on Head Mounted Display using a REG file

OPTION ONE [/i] Turn On or Off Showing Notifications on Head Mounted Display in Settings
1. Open Settings, and click/tap on the System icon.

2. Click/tap on Notifications & actions on the left side. (see screenshot below)

3. Under Notifications on the right side, turn on (default) or off Show notifications on my head mounted display for what you want.

4. When finished, you can close Settings if you like.









OPTION TWO [/i] Turn On or Off Showing Notifications on Head Mounted Display using a REG file


Note The .reg files below will modify the DWORD value in the registry key below.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notifications\Settings

NOC_GLOBAL_SETTING_ALLOW_HMD_NOTIFICATIONS DWORD

delete = on
0 = off


1. Do step 2 (on) or step 3 (off) below for what you would like to do.


2. To Turn On Showing Notifications on Head Mounted Display
NOTE: This is the default setting.
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

3. To Turn Off Showing Notifications on Head Mounted Display
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

4. Save the .reg file to your desktop.

5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

6. When prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

7. If you like, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

(SOLVED/CLOSED)looking for help with Android phone CONSTANT wireless signal notification

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

Taskbar number display of new notifications

Hi Martin,

To isolate your concern, kindly answer these questions:

• Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
• What application did you download for the display number?

Meanwhile, follow these troubleshooting steps to turn on the setting of
Notifications & actions:

• Click the Start Menu, and then click Settings.
• Under Settings, click System and then hit
  Notifications & actions.
• You can now turn on the items under Notifications.

We also suggest you to perform a clean boot.
A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

Turn off Facebook notifications in Windows 10

Let’s check the settings if the notification option is turn on. Follow the below step.

• 
  Type notification on the Windows search bar and select
  Turn app notification on or off.
  
• 
  Click on Notification & action, check the settings, scroll the down mouse and turn off the Facebook notification.

To resolve your concern regarding notification area, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Right click Taskbar.
• Select Properties.
• Untick Show taskbar on all displays; then, Apply.
• Drag the remaining primary monitor taskbar to the screen you want.
• Tick Show taskbar on all displays.
