If something isn't working in Windows 10, running a troubleshooter might help. Troubleshooters can find and fix many common problems for you.

Whenever you run a troubleshooter, a history of its details is kept for you to be able to view if needed.

This tutorial will show you how to view your troubleshooting history and details for the actions you performed while running troubleshooters in Windows 10.



Here's How:

1. Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click/tap on the Troubleshooting icon.

2. Click/tap on the View history link at the top left corner in Troubleshooting. (see screenshot below)



3. If you are currently signed in as an administrator, then you can click/tap on the Include troubleshooters that were run as an administrator link if wanted. (see screenshot below)



4. Perform either action below to view the details of a selected troubleshooter you had run. (see screenshots below)

• Select a listed troubleshooter, and click/tap on View details on the toolbar.
• Double click/tap on a listed troubleshooter.
• Right click or press and hold on a listed troubleshooter, and click/tap on View details.

5. You can now view the report details of the selected troubleshooter you had run. (see screenshots below)

Windows 10 View Update History

There is no "View your update history" option in the Advanced option Window. Things have apparently changed since you posted this. Have another suggestion?

How do get rid of the icons and make detail view the default view on my windows 10 desktop? The following article suggests that using ctrl+shift+6 will do this, but I have been unsuccessful in getting this key sequence to work.

How to access and clear troubleshooting history in windows 10 1803

Windows 10 has a feature wherein whenever you run a troubleshooter, a history of its details is kept in case you want to view it. This would also take up some of your disk space.

Are you logged in as the administrator of the computer?

You can refer to the steps below on how you can clear/delete troubleshooter history in Windows 10:

1. On the Start menu, type Control Panel.
   
2. Under View by, select Small icons from the drop-down list.
   
   
   
   
   
3. On the left pane, select View History.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click Include troubleshooter that were run as an administrator.
   
5. You can delete a specific troubleshooter history but clicking it and hitting the
   Delete button. You can clear all the troubleshooting history by clicking the
   Clear history on the toolbar.
