(I don't know if I am posting in right section. If not, pls feel free to move)

    Hello folks,

My wife needs a 12-13 inch laptop for her work. She is always on the go so using desktop is not practical. The work provided with Surface tablets but she doesn't find them comfortable to use. (The touchscreen is pretty much useless for her work) So she is looking for a laptop, lightweight but doesn't want to pay top $$ for an ultrabook. The work may provide them with ultrabooks within few months but until then she needs something.

    The requirements
    - light weight
    - longer battery life
    - She doesn't do any processor intensive work. All their work is on a remote server.
    - Upgradable, Should be easy to replace the battery, HDD and RAM, if required.
    - Trying to stay below $250-300

So started looking for refurb laptops on ebay. This is my search TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a tiny URL or (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...rt=nc&LH_BIN=1 )

Almost all of these fit the bill. I wonder which one of these do you think is the best bang for the buck and upgradable?
Ideally, even Chromebook should work but she needs to install Citrix and Java for her work and I don't know if one can install it on a Chromebook, so looking for laptops.

If anyone has other (better) ideas with regards to different laptops, I am all ears.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    :)

Don't really know how to help you. You are being vague. Here is what I would do. Choosing a case is aesthetics first. Shop NewEgg and list the cases you like and list them. Members will suggest the best choice from your selections.
